WCS is looking to complement its experience in marine conservation with the financial and business expertise of a Conservation Finance Partner (CFP) who will support the finance and investment team of the Miamba Yetu programme being implemented in Kenya and Tanzania. The CFP will mainly contribute to pipeline building, reviewing applications, due diligence and structuring
transactions, onboarding and management of recommended businesses and projects. To drive blended finance, the partner can fundraise for additional capital complementing the programme’s own concessionary capital.
The incumbent will deliver around five key areas over the course of three months:
- Reviews of Applications for Project/Business Funding;
- Support with a Venture Launcher Partnership;
- Monitoring and Evaluation work;
- Business Development, from sourcing to closing deals; and
- Active participation in meetings.
Proposal submission

Responses, if determined appropriate by WCS, will be issued in writing to all known proposers. All proposals shall be submitted as an attached digital file to the submission email including attachments, exhibits or appendices. Emails shall be submitted to: mhabineza@wcs.org with a copy to falguthmy@wcs.org. An interview may be requested of any proposer, and key staff should be present at the interview. Such a request for an interview does not constitute a contract award. Proposals must be received no later than 5:00 PM EAT, December 12, 2024.
