In the WIOMSA Marine Litter Workshop held in April 2019 in Mombasa, Kenya, it was agreed that a a quarterly newsletter be established to report on the progress of implementation of the marine litter projects in seven countries.
The first issue of the Litter Catch Up was published in October 2019. The Newsletter is a joint publication of WIOMSA and the African Marine Waste Network (AMWN). More details on the WIOMSA marine litter project and the monitoring projects are found here.
