BBNJ Implementation and Coordination Advisor
Based in Cape Town, this position focuses on effective national coordination for the implementation of the BBNJ Agreement. The role requires a post-graduate qualification in marine science, environmental policy, law, or international relations, as well as five to eight years’ experience in ocean governance and international agreements. Key responsibilities include policy development, partnership strengthening, and supporting South Africa’s global positioning in ocean governance. Senior Technical Officer, High Seas & Prince Edward Islands (PEI) MPAs
This Cape Town-based role is ideal for candidates with an undergraduate and Honours degree in environmental or natural sciences, and two to three years’ experience in marine biodiversity management. The position involves technical and process management, stakeholder engagement, and project implementation for the Prince Edward Islands Marine Protected Area and adjacent high seas.
