Blue Food Futures Program Inaugural Research Grant

The UN Ocean Decade Blue Food Futures Program is excited to announce its inaugural Research Grant Program! This twelve-month research grant is designed for early career scholars dedicated to advancing the role of blue foods in food systems transformation.

Research Grant Program Summary
The programme will award a twelve-month research grant to a researcher through their home institution interested in blue food research and stakeholder engagement, particularly with civil society, the private sector, and governments, to inform policy. This grant program awards a research stipend from BFFP and is particularly suited to early career scholars with a strong interest in climate
change implications, equitable distribution of blue food benefits, and blue food trade. The project topics will be supported further through mentorship with the BFFP leadership team. The Center for Ocean Solutions is based at the Woods Institute for the Environment in the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability. The awarded researcher will be known as a Blue Food Futures Fellow. Fellows will contribute to research that addresses critical questions about blue foods, filling knowledge gaps and providing
actionable insights to global food and climate initiatives. The deadline for applications is 18th December 2024.
