Postdoctoral Fellowship at UKZN

The University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) is offering a 12-month postdoctoral fellowship in Physics and Biology within the School of Agriculture and Science at Westville Campus, supported by the College of Agriculture, Engineering and Science. The position, based in the Centre for Quantum Computing and Technology (CQCTec), focuses on applying quantum computing to ecological networks in estuarine and marine environments, aiming to develop and simulate Variational Quantum Algorithms to assess their efficiency and resilience.

Candidates should hold a PhD in physics (quantum or computational physics) obtained within the last five years, with experience in quantum and classical coding, and an interest in ecological systems.
