Launch: African Network of Deep-water Researchers

The African Network of Deep-water Researchers, an initiative under the UN Decade endorsed Challenger 150 Programme , is pleased to invite you to its official launch. The network has been established with the aims of:

  • Facilitating and strengthening collaborations between African institutions and individuals active or interested in deep-sea and offshore research;
  • Supporting and enhancing opportunities for exchange of expertise and training;
  • Facilitating collaboration and supporting fair partnerships with international parties; and
  • Acting as a point of contact to connect interested international parties with relevant African researchers.

The African Network of Deep-water Researchers is open to all African nationals active or interested in deep-sea and offshore research. Attached herewith Terms of Reference for more information.

All researchers within this scope are invited to register their  interest here and join the an inaugural online meeting of the network, on Tuesday 21 March 14h00-16h00 SAST. Information for joining the meeting will be shared on registration.
