Mission Blue, the ocean-conservation initiative founded by Dr. Sylvia Earle, is seeking a Science Programme & Operations Manager to serve as the operational anchor of its global Science Initiative—driving Bioacoustics and Biodiversity Mapping programmes, steering the organisation’s UN Decade of Ocean Science accreditation, coordinating cross-functional teams (GIS, Communications, Advancement and Hope Spots), managing international logistics and procurement, and sustaining high-level partnerships that translate cutting-edge data into tangible marine protection. This full-time, one-year, independent-contractor post (total remuneration up to USD 50,000; no additional benefits) requires demonstrated programme-management expertise, exceptional communication skills, and familiarity with platforms such as Esri GIS, with a Master’s in a relevant marine or ecological field preferred.
