After a successful first edition in 2024–2025, we are excited to launch the second cohort of the Artisanal Mariculture Sciences and Village Farming Program, held in Toliara, Madagascar.
This unique international training offers both:
- Specialized short courses (2-3 months)
- A comprehensive 1-year program (long curriculum)
PROGRAM OPTIONS (2025–2026)
Participants can choose one of the following modules, or opt for the full-year advanced training:
- Sea Cucumber Farming (October–December 2025)
- Spirulina Farming (January–February 2026)
- Seaweed Farming (March–April 2026)
- Coral Farming (May–June 2026)
- Long Curriculum (September 2025–August 2026) – Includes all 4 modules + a final thesis project (July–August 2026)
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Applicants must hold a Master’s degree or be an engineer in a Natural or Social Science field OR have a higher education diploma plus at least 3 years of relevant experience in artisanal mariculture
TRAINING CONDITIONS
All theoretical and practical courses are conducted entirely in English – strong proficiency is required. Selected participants will receive a monthly scholarship allowance during the training. International air travel to Madagascar will be covered by the program
CERTIFICATE
An internationally recognized certificate will be awarded, jointly delivered by: • University of Mons (Belgium) • IH.SM – University of Toliara (Madagascar) • University of Liège (Belgium)
