WIOMSA established a Western Indian Ocean Acidification Monitoring project with regional institutions and experts in 2018, resulting in the WIO Ocean Acidification Monitoring Report. WIOMSA aims to upscale actions from the project and use ocean acidification (OA) monitoring and research to inform ocean policy and management in the Western Indian Ocean (WIO) region.
The OA Alliance and WIOMSA are partnering on a project that will contribute towards OA monitoring, research, and vulnerability assessments in the WIO region, by illuminating their relationship to consequential policy goals and invite you to a webinar on the project. The event titled “Mapping OA Monitoring and Research Recommendations to Policy in the WIO” which is scheduled to occur on May 19 between 11:00am-1:00pm East Africa Time .
