Request for proposals: WWF Feasibility study for a BMZ-BENGO

WWF Kenya is in the process of sourcing for proposals for a consultant to conduct a Feasibility Study for a BMZ-BENGO Project. Prices quoted should be net inclusive of all costs and taxes, must be expressed in Kenya shillings or in dollars and shall remain valid for a period of 120 days from the closing date of the tender.

Eligible candidates should submit completed Proposal Documents marked with the Tender Name and Number addressed to the Procurement Coordinator and sent by email to  tenders@wwfkenya.org to be received on or before 5pm EAT on Friday 18 February 2022.  For any clarifications, please email your query to kenya.procurement@wwfkenya.org no later than 2 days before the closing date.

Virtual Training Opportunity – Early Career Ocean Professionals

The International Ocean Institute (IOI), in partnership with the Early Career Ocean Professionals (ECOP) Programme ( an endorsed Action of the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development) and with funding from the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation and IOC-UNESCO, is pleased to announce an  online training opportunity for ECOP  building on the decades-long experience of the International Ocean Institute (IOI) in training career ocean practitioners.

The course is being provided free of charge and comprises four online sessions of three hours during which participants will be introduced to the basic concepts of ocean governance with an emphasis on the African context. Sessions will include presentations, discussions, videos and interactive tools and will cover the following topics:

  • Basic Concepts of Ocean Governance
  • The Ocean and Sustainable Development
  • The Blue Economy and Societal Perspectives and
  • Introduction to Marine Spatial Planning.

This training is open to early career ocean professionals from Africa and applications close on Friday 18 February 2022.
