The Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO is offering a limited number of travel grants to support participation of early career scientists (age below 35 years) in conferences and symposia in 2019.
Applications should be submitted to Mika Odido (m.odido@unesco.org) not later than 25 September 2019, and must include:
- Detailed CV, including: Biodata (personal details), employment record, educational qualification/s, recent scientific publications and research projects, and history of attendance to meetings/conferences
- Abstract submitted for presentation and Letter of acceptance of your abstract from the organizers.
- Motivation letter with details on the type of meeting/conference for which support is being requested, organizers’ details (and website for the meeting), justification for attendance indicating the relevance to your research work and links of your presentation to regional/national priorities, and a summary budget for required support.
- Letter of support from your Head of Institution
Note that preference will be given to those who have partial support from other sources. Successful applicants will be informed by 30 September 2019.
