The Newly elected Chairperson of the Network of Women in Marine Science (WiMS) was last weekend featured in one of the top Seychelles local daily newspapers, the NATION.
Ms Veronica Bristol, was elected to this post alongside other newly elected officials during a meeting held in Nairobi between the 11th and 12th of December. The interim leadership will lead the network for three years after which it it hoped that an official draft of the procedures for elections and nominations will have been agreed upon. During the meeting, key activities all aiming at and getting the Network off the ground and keeping the momentum going were discussed.
