The Large-Scale Seagrass Mapping and Management Initiative (LaSMMI) is transforming coastal ecosystem management across the Western Indian Ocean (WIO). By producing the region’s first field-verified seagrass maps and carbon stock assessments, LaSMMI turns critical data into actionable policy.
