The Department of Blue Economy of the Government of Seychelles is pleased to announce a webinar titled “IPOs Engagement,” organized by the International Platform for Ocean Sustainability (IPOS) in collaboration with our department.
About IPOS:
IPOS is a global science–policy platform aimed at integrating ocean knowledge into decision-making for sustainable development. Modeled after organizations like the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, IPOS provides independent, credible, and policy-relevant assessments to support governments, organizations, and stakeholders in making informed decisions for ocean sustainability.

The webinar will cover the role and mandate of IPOS in supporting ocean science coordination, capacity development, and partnerships at the global and regional levels. It will also introduce the Ocean ChatGPT platform, a tool designed to facilitate access to ocean information, promote practitioner exchange, and strengthen science–policy–society linkages.
Seychelles will share its experience and perspectives as part of the pilot phase of this initiative.
