We are excited to announce that we are now accepting proposals for mini symposia at the upcoming 13th WIOMSA Symposium! We invite engaging mini symposia proposals focusing on discussions around the themes of the event, with a particular focus on regional issues that advance knowledge synthesis, research, and policy recommendations.
Proposal Guidelines
If you’re interested in convening a mini symposium, please include the following in your proposal:
- Title of the Mini-Symposium
- Name(s) of the Convener(s)
- Email of the Main Contact Person
- Short Biography of the Convener
- Description and Motivation of the Topic (maximum 300 words)
- Mini-Symposium Structure (each mini symposium session will last 90 minutes)
- Expected Outputs
- List of all Potential Presenters and the Titles of their Abstracts.
Submission and review of mini symposium related abstracts
Please note that all mini symposium presenters’ abstracts will undergo a review process akin to regular abstract submissions and must be submitted through the abstract submission portal. If accepted, these abstracts will be assigned to their respective mini symposium. Interested conveners should send their proposals to secretary@wiomsa.org by March 28, 2025. Mini Symposia proposals will be evaluated based on scientific quality, significance of the topic, and expected outcomes.
Call for Special Sessions, Exhibitions and Registration
Additionally, we would like to inform you that the call for special sessions, exhibition space, and registration for the 13th WIOMSA Symposium will open on March 31, 2025.
