Ireland Fellows Programme – Africa: Applications Now Open!

The Embassy of Ireland in Tanzania is pleased to announce that the Ireland Fellows Programme – Africa is open for applications until 30 July 2023. The Ireland-Africa Fellows Programme is a fully-funded scholarship opportunity open to students and professionals in Tanzania to study at Master’s level in Ireland’s world-renowned Higher Education Institutions (HEI)

The Ireland Fellows Programme – Africa enables early to mid-career professionals with leadership potential, to benefit from a fully funded one-year master’s level programme at a HEI in Ireland. The award covers programme fees, flights, accommodation and living costs.

The Programme aligns with the Irish Government’s commitments under Global Ireland and The Global Island: Ireland’s Foreign Policy for a Changing World, A Better World: Ireland’s Policy for International Development, and Ireland’s International Education Strategy.

Operating for more than 40 years, the Ireland Fellows Programme has enabled more than 2,000 successful awardees to undertake graduate study in Ireland, supporting them to put their acquired knowledge and skills into practice for the benefit of their wider community.

 In line with Irish Embassy’s Mission Strategy 2022-2026, the programme targets applicants from the following thematic areas:

  1. Gender Equality and Human Rights
  2. Environmental Sustainability and Climate Action
  3. Health and Nutrition
  4. Management, Technology and Innovation

All applicants who meet the eligibility criteria stipulated on here are encouraged to apply. Please note that this is an open call application and that the deadline for receipt of preliminary applications is 30 July 2023.
