We are accepting articles for the June 2023 edition of the WIOMSA Newsbrief.
Submissions shall be in the following categories
- Highlights from recently published papers: this segment features the key findings from recently published papers. Specifications: Submissions shall be no more than 600 words in non- scientific language and should include the link to the published paper. The article shall focus on the issue/problem, the key study findings and the implications of the findings for management/conservation. Please include 2 high resolution photos to illustrate the article.
- Regional news: this segment highlights news from various partners. Featured articles can be an introduction to a partner’s programme, event, award or activities. Items in this segment should be no more than 600 words and should be accompanied by 2 high resolution images.
- Opinion: The Opinion is a column written by WIOMSA members and partners expressing opinions and views on topical issues of regional/global importance. The specifications: the article must have a clearly defined point of view, clarity of thought, have a strong unique voice of the author. It should be no more than 800 words and is accompanied by a photo of the author. (passport sized) and one or two photos to illustrate the issue being discussed.
