Today marks International Women’s Day, and the theme is: Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow. During the month of March 2022, the Women in Marine Science Network (WiMS) will showcase some of the empowering work that work women in marine science in the Western Indian Ocean Region are embarking on to #breakthebias and empower women in coastal communities and women marine scientists.
