The Nairobi Convention, in collaboration with Swedish partners, is building the WIO Symphony; a common model tool for assessing cumulative impact (to marine ecosystems) in the WIO region. After a year of data preparation, the next step in the process is working on the “sensitivity scores” which is one important component of the spatial model, defining how sensitive ecosystems/organisms are to human pressures. This work will begin during the next 1-day  marine spatial workshop on September 2, 2021.
