Job Opportunities at Wildlife Conservation Society

The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) seeks a Marine Conservationist to lead the implementation of its field-based marine conservation efforts in Tanzania. The position is based in Zanzibar (or possibly Dar -es Salaam), and will require travel throughout the Tanzanian coastline. The WCS Tanzania Marine Conservationist position is a full-time position. Also the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) seeks a Shark and Ray Conservation Officer, who will work closely with the regional director, the country directors, and staff in New York marine program to plan, implement, provide advice on, and monitor WCS’s conservation activities. He/she will focus on building capacity within marine teams – particularly field based teams – within country programs to carry out shark and ray conservation work. He/she will also contribute to the development of a WCS regional action plan for shark and ray conservation and to fundraising activities. The location for the position is to be determined within the Southern Western Indian Ocean region, ideally Kenya, Madagascar, Mozambique, or Tanzania.
