WIOMSA was established as a regional, non-profit, membership organization in 1993 and registered in Zanzibar, Tanzania in 1994 as a non-governmental organization. This means that WIOMSA this year celebrates 25 years. In honour of this WIOMSA has produced a 25-year anniversary video.
In this video, you will be able to meet some of the persons that have played an important role in the creation and development of WIOMSA. You will have the opportunity to listen to them as they reflect on the progress of WIOMSA and what difference WIOMSA has made during its 25 years as an organization.
